What is Teach In Thailand?

The Teaching in Thailand Project [TIT] is unique in its concept. It provides the opportunity to spend four and a half months in Thailand, experience the local culture, interact with the people, taste the regional food and at the same time earn a teaching qualification and get paid for all of this. Sounds unbelievable?? It is true!! The project involves an online TESOL Certification Course* followed by 4.5 months of teaching placement in a Thai school all over Thailand.

*For those who are already TESOL qualified are also eligible for this project.

Why should you do the TIT?

Many people complete a Teacher Training Course but then spend a couple of months applying for a job, going for interviews, getting paper work organized in trying to get a job. But once you have enrolled in TIT program, all you have to do is plan for your trip, buy your ticket and the rest is our headache. From the time you land at the Bangkok Airport to completing your four and a half month paid internship is our responsibility. So you not only qualify as a TESOL Trained Teacher but also have the experience to back your resume, which helps you get better jobs later.

After the TIT program you have the option of continuing as a regular school teacher or you can be absorbed as Corporate trainers or Language School trainers. With the growing need for learning English in Non English speaking nations the demand far exceeds the supply. So there is never a dearth of teaching opportunities for TESOL trained teachers.

The benefits and Course fee

• You pay just 300 USD for the online TESOL certificate course. If you are already TESOL certified, then you have to do our Teaching English to Young Learners [TEYL] online course.
• You get paid a monthly sum of 30,000 baht (currently $1000) per month + housing (in comparison, local teachers earn only about 10,000 baht per month so this is more than enough to live comfortably) for the 4 and a half months of teaching in Thai Schools.
• You earn an online TESOL Certificate from Innovative Education which is in academic collaboration with the world’s largest TEFL course provider, TEFL International.
• Teaching assignment in many locations to choose from all over Thailand.

About the program

You are required to complete 30 hours of TESOL course online*, prior to arrival in Thailand. Then you would be having an orientation for a day in Bangkok. This would not only help you in getting familiar with the local culture and customs but would also introduce you to the contemporary teaching scenario. The teaching practice part [20 hours] of your TESOL certificate would be done during your teaching placement, where our teachers would evaluate you while you are teaching in the school. You would be getting the certificate at the end of your teaching placement after 4.5 months.

You can also extend your contract if you wish to continue teaching in the same school or we can help you in finding a job in another location/school.

When

You can start Teaching in Thailand project (TIT) any time and plan to land Thailand anytime through out the year for the teaching assignment, however we don’t accept TIT sign up if you are not able to spend at least 30 hrs of online learning before landing in Thailand for teaching.

*Special Program * We also have a special project for TIT, where you can sign up any time and start your online studies but land around 27th October 2007 to attend our Special 29th October 2007 program with 4 days orientation of teaching techniques including cultural orientation before you move for the teaching positions starting from 1st November 2007.
